Advantages of cyclones in dust collection and pneumatic transport
The separation of dust particles in the cyclones is carried out under the action of inertial forces arising when changing the direction of flow of 180 °. When the gas flow enters the cyclone, the dust particles under the action of centrifugal forces move towards its wall, after which they fall into the hopper of the cyclone, where they are separated from the gas flow. The dust-cleaned stream returns to the cyclone through the central part of the dust outlet.
It is used for transportation of dry, easily mobile and fine-grained materials in the chemical and metallurgical industry, in the construction and woodworking industry.
They are also used in agriculture, in cleaning, drying, processing and storage of grain in grain cleaning and drying installations, mills, feed shops, warehouses and silos.
